Welcome to the Thüringer Glitzerwelt at Lake Hohenfelden. Anyone who enters the grounds accepts these house rules. We ask you to be considerate and careful: responsibility for yourself and for others, courtesy and the rules below.
“Organiser” means GLANZ & GLORIA GmbH, Am Stausee 4, 99448 Kranichfeld/Hohenfelden.
Responsibility of our guests
We comply with the applicable regulations. We expect our guests to act prudently and to look after their own health and safety, that of the people in their care and that of the people around them.
Read and follow all regulations, recommendations and warnings, and use facilities and equipment as intended. Also observe the rules displayed at individual attractions and exhibits. Anyone who does not comply may be expelled from the grounds without a refund of the admission price.
Treat other guests, our staff, the attractions and exhibits, nature and the lake with respect.
Before you use an attraction
Assess your physical and mental abilities before you or a person in your care, especially minors, use an attraction.
Do not take part in any attraction if you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medication or other substances that may impair your health, your senses, your attention, your reflexes or your coordination.
Admission
- The grounds and their facilities can only hold a limited number of guests.
- Dogs and other animals are not permitted on the grounds, with the exception of assistance dogs. Please do not leave any animals in your car either.
- You may only enter the grounds with a valid ticket and only through the marked entrances. Keep your ticket with you throughout your visit and show it on request.
- Children and young people under 16 are only allowed onto the grounds when accompanied by an adult.
- Your right of admission ends when you leave the grounds. If you would like to step out briefly and come back, let our staff know beforehand. You will then receive a stamp or another mark that lets you back in on the same day.
- Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs may be turned away at the entrance.
On the grounds
- Smoking is not permitted in buildings, in the attractions, in the children’s areas or in the waiting areas.
- The fire safety regulations apply throughout the grounds. Fire, fireworks of any kind and barbecues are prohibited.
- Please stay on the paths for visitors.
- Weapons and dangerous objects such as firearms, knives, chains or knuckledusters are not permitted.
- Drones and remote-controlled model aircraft are prohibited throughout the grounds, including the car parks.
- Deliberate noise is not permitted, nor are portable radios and similar devices.
- Skateboards, inline skates, scooters of all kinds, bicycles and e-bikes are not permitted on the grounds.
- Swimming and bathing in the lake are not permitted.
- The seating on the grounds is for guests who have bought food or drinks at our stalls.
- Without the organiser’s permission, no one may advertise, offer goods or services, conduct surveys or carry out counts on the grounds, in the car parks or in front of the entrances.
- Follow the instructions of our staff, especially at the attractions. This is for your own safety.
- For security reasons, authorised staff may check rucksacks, bags and pouches within the limits of the law.
Tickets
With your ticket you can use all attractions as often as you like during opening hours, according to the rules of each attraction.
If an attraction cannot be used because of maintenance, repairs or force majeure (such as storms, poor visibility or thunderstorms), the admission price will not be refunded, either in full or in part. This also applies if a new attraction is not yet finished or an attraction is being rebuilt.
Attractions and facilities
Wear a top and shoes throughout the grounds. Each facility has its own rules of use. Please read what is displayed at a facility in words or pictures before using it and follow it, as well as the instructions of our staff.
Some attractions require a minimum height, a minimum age or a particular physical condition. These rules are set by the authorities and the TÜV (German technical inspection body), and they also apply to guests with disabilities and to pregnant women. Anyone who meets the requirements decides for themselves, or with their companion, whether an attraction is suitable for them.
So that no one has to wait too long, leave an attraction after using it and queue again at the entrance. Anyone who jumps the queue or deliberately disregards the rules of an attraction or the instructions of staff may be excluded from using it, without any claim to compensation.
You are liable for damage you cause by culpably disregarding the rules of use or by intentional or negligent conduct.
Expulsion from the grounds and bans
Anyone who breaches these house rules or is on the grounds without a valid ticket must leave the grounds when asked to, without compensation. The organiser may impose a permanent ban. The same applies to anyone who harasses other guests, uses facilities contrary to their rules of use or does not follow the instructions of staff. In that case the admission price will not be refunded, either in full or in part.
In particular, the organiser may turn away or expel from the grounds anyone who
- misuses tickets or vouchers,
- wilfully or culpably damages facilities or the property of staff,
- harasses other guests or seriously spoils their visit,
- leaves minors unsupervised, especially if they behave as described above,
- consumes, sells or distributes drugs on the grounds. Anyone who does so will be expelled from the grounds immediately and reported to the authorities.
Parking
The car parks are not operated by the Glitzerwelt but by ANKERGRUND GmbH. Their car park rules apply, which are displayed on signs at the entrances. Parking is subject to a charge in all designated car parks.
Photos and videos
Photos and videos for private purposes are permitted within the scope of the German Art Copyright Act (Kunsturhebergesetz). If you record other people, you may need their consent. Passing on recordings or using ideas and attractions commercially is only permitted with the organiser’s prior written consent. For security reasons, private photo and sound recordings may be prohibited at times.
At times, third parties record videos or take photos on the grounds, including with webcams. These areas are marked where possible. If you do not want recordings of you to be published or shown on the internet via webcam, avoid these areas or let the photographer or camera crew know. If you do not, we will assume that you agree to their use free of charge.
For security reasons, the attractions and the grounds are monitored and recorded by camera.
Liability
We are only liable for damage resulting from a culpable breach of an essential contractual obligation or from intent or gross negligence on the part of the legal representatives or vicarious agents of GLANZ & GLORIA GmbH. If we breach an essential contractual obligation without intent or gross negligence, we are not liable for unforeseeable or atypical damage.
We accept no liability in the following cases:
- On some attractions you may get wet, and items you bring with you may be damaged. So do not bring anything that could be damaged by water or in any other way, such as cameras or video cameras. We do not replace clothing, cameras or video cameras damaged by water.
- For lost items, especially those lost or damaged while using an attraction, and for items left at attractions or facilities.
Our liability for damage arising from injury to life, body or health remains unaffected by these limitations.
Reporting damage
All facilities and attractions are carefully maintained and monitored. If you suffer damage that is not solely your own fault, whether to property, to your person or of any other kind, report it at the guest information desk before leaving the grounds. Please also come forward if an incident might only lead to damage later.
There is no claim to compensation if you only report the damage after leaving the grounds, even though it would have been possible and reasonable to report it before leaving.
Duty of supervision
Parents and supervisors of groups are asked to fulfil their duty of supervision carefully; we cannot release them from it. If they breach their duty of supervision, they bear full responsibility under the statutory provisions for the damage that results.
Theft
In every case of theft on the grounds, staff will notify the police or the security service.
Resale of tickets
To prevent tickets from being resold and season tickets from being misused, it is not permitted
- to sell tickets for more than you paid for them, even when passing them on privately,
- to sell tickets commercially without the organiser’s prior written consent,
- to use tickets for competitions, travel offers or care services, or publicly for advertising, without the organiser’s prior written consent,
- to offer tickets on auction sites or other internet platforms, yourself or through others,
- to pass on tickets without expressly referring to these house rules,
- to pass on season tickets to others or culpably enable others to misuse them.
For these rules, tickets also include discount vouchers, season tickets, free tickets and vouchers of any kind for food and drink.
Anyone who culpably breaches these rules must pay the organiser a contractual penalty of €100 per breach. The number of breaches is determined by the number of tickets offered, sold, passed on or used. The tickets concerned become invalid. The organiser may also refuse to sell tickets to these persons in future and take further civil or criminal action.
